Bouquet of Flowers Afghan

Bouquet of Flowers Afghan
Spread the love

The Bouquet of Flowers Afghan CAL is here!

Last year lots of you loved the Friendship blanket so much. This year the designers were asking me to organise another one! So I did.

Why call it the Bouquet of Flowers Afghan?

It’s been a long autumn and winter here and I am desperately looking forward to the spring for the blooms to show themselves, lambing season (being a country girl at heart) and some warmer weather and sunshine! I am also eagerly waiting being able to hang my washing on the line in the garden!! I guess that is a sign of age LOL. So this year I picked the theme of flowers (last year was texture).

Every week we will release 3 squares for you to make. They will all measure 10″ (once finished and blocked if necessary) and in total there are 20 squares … I took onboard the feedback that last year with 41 squares it was a little long for some of you! As per last year, there is a variety of stitches and techniques so there should be something new for most of you during this CAL.

With 18 designers, 20 squares and 6 weeks of crocheting fun I hope you love this bouquet of flowers afghan as much as I do.

How it works:

  • One new square will be released every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 28th Feb until mid April
  • Most squares will be available as a free pdf and, if it is not going to be free usually, you will have a coupon code to get your copy.
  • I will then share how I joined the squares and provide instructions for the boarder
  • The most recent square will be the first on in the list below – under this will be all of the squares that have been released in order. You will click the photo of the square and make a note of the coupon code you will need. Then you will need to read the designer’s post (if they have a blog) and look for the following button
  • If you cannot wait for the squares to be released and would like to get them all in one go a bundle is available for $12.99 using the button below. This works out at only $0.65 per square!
  • Note: you have 7  days from purchase to raise any issues.

Materials List for your Bouquet of Flowers CAL:

Note: this list contains affiliate links at no extra cost to you!

For my version I used:

  • #3 weight yarn or cotton – I used Paintbox Simply DK in the following colour ways and amounts (note each skein is 302 yards so I used 2,200 yards approximately before joining):
    • Grass Green – 3 skeins
    • blush pink – 3 skeins
    • lipstick pink – 2 skeins
    • champagne white – 5 skeins (I also bordered all of my squares with this before joining)
    • buttercup yellow – 2 skeins
